Sandra Baker-Hinton

Moving to Amelia Island over twenty two years ago to devote herself to being a full time artist, she immediately rented a studio in the historic district of Fernandina Beach. She expanded her studio into an art gallery called Amelia SanJon Gallery in 2005, closing it in 2016. Her studio in now located in her home. Sandra was raised in a small Appalachian community in North East Tennessee. Her first three years of education were spent in a one room school. She went on to receive an Art Degree from East Tennessee State University.Although Sandra is a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society she has expanded her painting medias to include acrylic, oil and mixed watermedia. She is also a fused glass artist creating one of a kind glass sea critters and Christmas ornaments made from recycled glass.The artist currently teaches ongoing Watercolor Classes at the Island Art Association.
