Island Art Association Gallery Mosaic News:

Visit our gallery and see the many changes to our building. Currently a core team has been diligently planning, organizing, developing and creating our first band of mosaic for the inside courtyard fence wall. Watch as we progress to transform our building into an architectural jewel. Our plan is to work out the "bugs" before opening up the project to interested persons. Meanwhile, we would like to develop a list of participants for future mosaic "parties". We will have a sign-up sheet at the gallery for the next 2 dates which are May 21st and May 27th. We can comfortably manage about 6 participants at a session. Each session will last for approximately 2 hours. More sign-up dates will be added as we progress.

Please continue to collect glass, broken dishes, pottery, tile (we are short on bright primary colors) and anything else that you think would be of use. We will also need, Mapei Ultraflex 2 tile mortar with polymer – white, black sanded grout, grout sealer, and cement board or hardy board. So if you know of anyone willing to make these donations or a money donation, please remember us!
