Even though I took preliminary art lessons as part of my education classes at University of Florida, like Grandma Moses, I didn't really start painting until my husband was close to retirement. I have taken classes from Hercel Stallard and Sue Harden, but my real source of inspiration and encouragement has been Mary Borshard and my instructive mentor has been Joanne Speas. I am indebted to both of these outstanding artists for their invaluable guidance and encouragement.

I feel very blessed to be able to capture through watercolor some of the beauty God has placed all around us. I love to paint florals, marsh or beach scenes, interesting architecture and, of course, "our" lighthouse. I always want my paintings to glorify the Lord who has given all our gifts!
