Barbara Fuller knew she wanted to be an artist from the moment her aunt, an art teacher, presented her with her first box of paints. A graduate of Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, her focus as a serious artist, was put aside after her marriage and until her children were raised. For 10 years she was part-owner and designed canvases for a needlework shop in Millburn, NJ. After the shop was sold she returned to painting. Concentrating on watercolor as her medium, she studied with various well known NJ artists, in particular Roberta Carter Clark, a nationally known award winning painter. A past member of various art organizations in NJ, she exhibited her paintings in various juried shows before she moved to Amelia Island. A member of this association since 1995, she is past president and board member. She is a board member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society. She has won numerous awards in their juried shows. Her work is represented in corporate collections and private homes here and abroad.
