An award winning artist, Karen McFadyen was born in Chicago, IL. Considering herself a painter in the expressionist tradition, Karen often works in a series exploring a variety of subjects. Her works are in public and private collections and have been exhibited in many competitive regional and national exhibits. McFadyen is a member of the Island Art Association, Inc., where she has served as Gallery Director. She is also a member of the St. Augustine Art Association, the Allied Artists of America and the Portrait Society of America.
