Sculpture is my favorite means of artistic expression. I thoroughly enjoy working with clay and am constantly fascinated with the "Elasticity" of the medium. Clay always presents a new challenge…and I love problem solving…and am in love with learning! Creating clay pieces keeps me feeling grounded, focused and energized. Creating clay people masks affords me the opportunity to explore emotions, expressions and attitudes…from a safe distance…usually. I love people-watching too! Watch out! Who knows, your own altered image might just appear here next! I have a BFA in Painting, Boston University; MA in Fine Arts, Montclair State University; and recently retired from teaching 2D/3D art classes at Fernandina Beach HS.  I am now working in my studio daily concentrating on combining my love of painting, portraiture and sculpture.  My work is included in collections throughout the U. S. and shown locally at Island Art Association Gallery.  Look, experience and accept.  There is Ogshobo patterning and placement in my work.  You will discover Adinkra symbols.  There are Caribbean influences.  Color, Form and Texture are essential elements.  Sculpture is so real to me.  My works are populated with Spirits and positive energies, connecting us in a dialogue with color and form - transcending language.
