Art Education Center
Guide for Rental Use

A major goal of the Island Art Association is to sponsor art and craft education classes, workshops and seminars by qualified artisans.  The new Art Education Center was established  in order to facilitate art education in the community.   The Center may also be rented for other meetings, activities and functions.

The following provides information, guidance and
an application for potential instructors
.

The Art Education Center (AEC) Committee will  require  a rental agreement, advise you in getting started and provide advertising assistance as follows:

  • Monthly “e-blasts” are published to IAA Patrons (600 plus).  You should provide a jpeg image for the advertisement.  The image can also be used in other publications.

  • Current class schedules are updated and displayed in the IAA Gallery /AEC.  Information includes a brief class description, materials list, instructor biographical information, student fee, dates/times, who to contact.

  • Class schedule information is continuously updated on the IAA website, IAA Facebook, YouTube, and ameliaisland.com website.

FREE COMMUNITY ADVERTISING
You can provide publicity on your own.

Mouth of Amelia

This is an e-blast publication which furnishes information on activities of nonprofit organizations.  It is published by Robin Bolan to an audience of approximately 300 subscribers.  It is done on her own time as a service to nonprofits.  Robin sometimes picks up information from the IAA e-blasts.

  • Contact Robin Bolan by email at rrbolan@aol.com.  She will advertise your class for free ONE time.  Plan your timing with that in mind.

  • Include  title of class, instructor name, dates/time, fee, phone or e-mail address of instructor.  (Robin does not accept messages concerning your class/activity.  She is just the messenger.)

  • You may e-mail a photo in jpeg format or a flyer, but ALL INFORMATION IS TO BE CONTAINED IN THE BODY OF THE E-MAIL so it can be cut and pasted  –  NO ATTACHMENTS.

  • 7-14 days advance notice is required but there is no guarantee it will get into Mouth of Amelia, especially if too long.

  •  AEC Committee can provide assistance here.

Chamber of Commerce Website
