ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Twelve artists were featured at the Amelia Island Plantation Spring Winefest, Flo Rives, Joyce Karsko, Pat Hooks, Imogene Coleman, Neal Coleman, Michael Spicer, Nancy Williams, Lou Coker, Becky Buchanan, Carol Beck, and Janet McGugan.  Lou Coker's painting won the contest and is featured on the poster advertising the event.

  • Artists of Amelia Coffee Table Book:    The work of 78 Nassau artists is represented.   The book is on sale (only $29.95 plus tax)  at the Gallery and various locations in Fernandina Beach.  A great gift and profits support the IAA building fund.  Complimentary copy with purchase of $150 or more.

  •  The Photographers Group will meet at 7 p.m., June 26, 2008, in the gallery studio.  The subject for critique of members' work is Still Life.   An announcement concerning the technical presentation will be emailed to group members.  Check out the new Photographers Group website at http://ameliaislandart.org.

Members Website Information

Exhibiting members may update photos of their work on the member pages and on biographical data pages.  Individual members are  invited to send a digital photo to be included on the membership page.  In addition, a link can be established to members' personal websites by furnishing the website address.  If you have questions, contact Pat Hooks, 277-2597 or send photos to Pat's personal e-mail address which is listed in the membership yearbook.  Images should be in jpeg format, preferably at 72 dpi resolution, and a size not to exceed 5x7.

  • Breakfast Critique - 9:30 a.m., Cafe Karibo, normally on third Saturday each month - call 261-7020 for schedule.  Bring work in progress for "gentle feedback."

     

Board Meetings - 6:30 p.m., first Thursday each month.  All members invited.

General meetings - 7 p.m., second Tuesday each month (except June-August) with artist demonstrations/refreshments.  All welcome!

Artrageous First Fridays - 6-9  p.m., First Friday of each monthBuy art - be refreshed.  Visit our gallery location as well as other participating galleries and studios.  

Kids Art in the Park - Last Saturday of each month, 10:30  am - 12:30 pm.   Free guided art activities for school age children are provided by  local artists.  Materials furnished.   Please register your child by calling the Co-op Gallery
