Topic: Vietnamese Woodblock Printing
|
For over 500 years, Vietnamese
artisans have been making
woodblock prints for secular and
religious purposes. Jim will
present a brief historical
overview of this craft and will
show original woodblock prints
from 16th century Vietnam to the
present. The audience will then
have an opportunity to make
their own woodblock talisman
print from a selection of
contemporary woodblocks. Don't
miss this exciting opportunity
to create your own piece of
talisman art! |
