The
Organization was Established:
- For
the enjoyment of citizens of Nassau County and visitors to the island;
- As a
venue for local artists to sell their works;
- To
sponsor arts education;
- To
provide supplies and scholarship assistance to Nassau County students;
- To
encourage art programs for Nassau County residents.
Annual
Membership Fees are:
- $50
for Individual Members

Family Membership
- $125
for Exhibiting Members

Corporate/Business Membership
Exhibiting
Members:
- Are
juried as space is available;
- Must
reside in Nassau County;
- Must
meet specific requirements to achieve and maintain exhibiting status,e.g.,
1 day per month at gallery desk; participate on at least two committees
- one operating committee and one Shrimp Festival committee, etc.
Shrimp
Festival Patron Program:
Friends and businesses are invited to participate through a commitment
to spend $100 or more on the purchase of art from a Shrimp Festival
exhibitor of their choice. The total estimated amount is published
annually thereby attracting more artists. Patrons may opt to donate financial
support for prizes, scholarships, or the purchase of art supplies for
Nassau County schools.
Shrimp Festival Patron recognition and
benefits:
Patrons are provided a large green award ribbon and sign with their
name for the artist to display in their booth. Patrons names are
published in various media including this website during and
following the festival. Patrons receive the satisfaction of knowing
their support benefits Shrimp Festival artists and the community
through better art education and supplies.
