In 2002, my husband Jim and I being bored one weekend decided to attend a gourd festival in Georgia.  After seeing the beautiful artwork I was hooked.  I purchased my first gourds and brought them home intent on creating something beautiful.  I am basically self taught, attending a few classes and learning to paint with friends.  After almost eight years, the purchase of many supplies and tools, and much work, I am finally creating gourds that I truly am proud to display.
