Milt Shirley moved to Amelia Island in 1969 as an environmental engineer with ITT Rayonier. He is a graduate of Louisiana Tech. He was a member of IAA in the early years when he took art lessons from an instructor who came up from Jacksonville. He became involved in local politics up until June 2002 when he again picked up his brushes. He works in oils and paints scenes from beautiful Amelia Island.
