ROGER MOORE

A native of upstate New York, Roger served as a photographer with the Navy in WWII. After earning a degree in engineering from the University of Rochester, he began a career in construction contracting and owned his own bridge building company. Roger and wife Edie retired to Amelia Island in 1990 where he has photographed the abundance of natural beauty on the island. He teaches photography at Florida Community College, Nassau Institute for Community Education. He recently co-authored with Ron Kurtz, Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach, a book of his photographs of local items of interest with historical background by Mr. Kurtz.
