A native of upstate New York,Roger served as a photographer with the Navy in WWII. After earning a degree in engineering from the University of Rochester, he began a career in construction contracting and owned his own bridge building company. Roger and wife Edie retired to Amelia Island in 1990 where he has photographed the abundance of natural beauty on the island. He teaches photography at Florida Community College, Nassau Institute for Community Education.

 

 

 

 

Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach, a book that has captured the imagination of residents and visitors to this island paradise was co-authored by Moore and Ron Kurtz. It was published by Photographs Naturally, Inc. The book contains 110 contemporary color photos taken by Moore and a complete history of an island that has flown 8 flags written by Kurtz.
