Pat retired from a position with FAA in Atlanta as a specialist in human resource management. The Hooks discovered Amelia Island during a trip down the Intracoastal Waterway and moved here in 1996. Upon retirement her lifelong interest in art became a passion when she was introduced to watercolors while taking art at Clayton State College. Her media are watercolor, and acrylics but she occasionally mixes media and has taken sculpting from Dante deFlorio. She has become interested in digital photography and has won several awards, established websites, including the IAA site, and compiled an IAA directory of artists. Her style ranges from realism to abstract and her primary inspiration is the beauty of Amelia Island.
